Thanks to the tireless efforts of the guys at Budget Rock Showcase, the legendary San Francisco garage punk band, the Mummies, will be performing two shows in one night this Saturday, October 24th, at Thee Parkside and Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco. Technically, this is not a free live show, but it is the Mummies! Cover charge for each of the shows is $5, and tickets are ONLY available at the door on the night of the show. Please note that all shows are 21 and over!
For more information about the return of the Mummies (hey, look, I made a B-movie joke! — *snicker, snicker*), check out this article from today’s San Francisco Chronicle. For more information about the venues, here are links to Thee Parkside (showtime is at 8 p.m.) and Bottom of the Hill (showtime is at 9 p.m.). For more information about the artist, visit their Web site. And for more information on the Budget Rock Showcase Festival, go to its MySpace page.
On a final and somewhat sad (for me) note, I will not be able to make Saturday’s shows, due to a prior personal commitment. But, hey, if you make it, send me an e-mail at info@hearfreelivemusic.com and tell me all about it! Or you can post an item on the wall at our Facebook page.
